Game Audio Sound Design Reel
Sound redesign, foley, synthesis, editing, and mixing
I created this reel through a series of self-directed sound-redesign exercises focused on game audio and audiovisual synchronization. Working with captured gameplay footage, I replaced the original audio with a newly assembled soundtrack using recorded foley, synthesized elements, edited source material, layering, effects processing, and mixing.
The exercises allowed me to develop my sound-design practice while also preparing material and techniques relevant to my teaching in digital audio production.
Sound-Redesign Approach
For each sequence, I treated the existing footage as a silent visual brief. I identified the actions, environments, transitions, and moments of emphasis that required sonic support, then constructed new audio through a combination of foley, synthesis, edited source material, effects processing, and layered sound design.
